Facebook
When you block someone's profile on Facebook, that profile will no longer be able to do things such as tag your profile or see things you post on your profile. If you have additional Facebook profiles, you’ll need to manage blocking from each of your profiles separately.
Switch to the profile that you want to use.
Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings.
In the left column, under Audience and visibility, click Blocking
In the Block users section, click Edit.
Click Add to blocked list.
Type the name of the profile you want to block.
Click Block next to their name.
Click Confirm.
Unfriend-ing on Facebook:
Unfriending someone on Facebook means you no longer want to be connected to them on the website and you want to remove them from your friends list. Facebook says that the person you unfriend won't be notified, but they may notice that you're gone if they look at their friends list.
Note: If you can't find the profile you want to unfriend, the profile may be deactivated.
Go to that profile by typing their profile name into the search bar at the top of Facebook.
Click the little person at the top of their profile.
Click Unfriend, then Confirm.
How to Unfriend a deactivated profile:
Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
Click Friends.
Search for the profile’s name.
Click the three dots, then select Unfriend.
Messenger
When you block someone's Facebook profile on Messenger, it also blocks their profile on Facebook. They won't be able to message, call or find your profile on Messenger or Facebook chat. If you're Facebook friends, blocking them also unfriends them. Profiles won't be notified when you block them.
Blocking messages and calls from someone is different from blocking their profile. If you block messages and calls from someone but don't block them on Facebook, they'll no longer be able to message or call you on Messenger or Facebook chat, but you'll still be able to see their Facebook profile. Depending on their privacy settings, you may also be able to see things like their status updates, comments, likes and tags on Facebook.
Open a conversation with the person you want to block and click the three dots.
Select Block on Messenger to block messages and calls, or Block on Facebook to block the profile on Facebook.
Click Block to confirm.
